West Coast of North America |
Cruising on the west coast is tremendously varied. In the north is the convoluted coast of Alaska and British Columbia. South of Puget Sound the coast is more hostile, with limited harbors, many of which have difficult or dangerous entrances. In Southern California the coast is easier and the weather more benign. From San Diego south the Baja Peninsula is arid, with limited harbors on the west side. Once around the tip of Baja, the cruising grounds of the Sea of Cortez open up. |
